When CA Ventures, a Chicago-based company, approached us with plans to introduce a new voice into the UK’s student living market, we faced a pivotal question: How can we create a student living experience with wellness at its core?

The result was Novel, a concept dedicated to enhancing student well-being. Recognising the pressures faced by today’s students, we aimed to design environments that alleviate the emotional and physical stresses associated with moving away from home.

Beyond physical spaces, Novel provides regular social events, on-site mental health support, and a diverse programme of talks covering nutrition, public speaking, and mindfulness, all tailored to address common student challenges. The website was crafted with this in mind; an intelligent search function allows users to find accommodation by property, university, or location, catering to both students and their families. This personalised approach ensures a smooth journey from initial enquiry to move-in day.

To appeal to both domestic and international students, we integrated multi-language functionality into the Content Management System, enabling easy addition of new languages. This feature, combined with a tailored SEO strategy, ensures that users worldwide can access information in their preferred language, fostering inclusive relationships from the outset.
